The White Earth Land Recovery Project is a multi-issue, Native American, non-profit organization originally created to restore the land base of the White Earth Reservation. They also work on alternative energy, farm to school food programs, and sustainable communities. WELRP's food company, Native Harvest, was created to earn local, Native American people fair prices for the products they harvest and the crafts they create, such as birch bark basketry and beaded jewelry. Their hand harvested wild rice is very popular.
