Established in 1908 as the Minnesota National Forest, these 660,000 acres were renamed twenty years later to honor their original inhabitants. The Chippewa National Forest is home to numerous natural wonders and historic landmarks alike. Explore towering forests, fish in miles of streams, or paddle countless glassy lakes - each a remnant of the glaciers that shaped this land 10,000 years ago.
